HYDRONE 7, Plant Dehumidifier with AI-Powered Humidity VPD Controller, for 4-6 Plants

€309,00
incl. VAT, plus shipping costs
  • Plant dehumidifier for precise humidity and VPD regulation (VPD: vapor pressure deficit) in the grow tent, designed for tents from 120 × 120 to 150 × 150 cm with high plant mass.
  • 10 dehumidification levels instead of simple on/off: the proprietary PWM-controlled rotary motor (PWM: pulse-width modulation) modulates output and keeps humidity and VPD in the tent considerably more stable than a compressor unit.
  • Dry air is supplied directly into the grow tent via the exhaust port; the optional intake port enables a closed air loop within the setup.
  • Integrated humidity and VPD controller with corded sensor and AI programming; controllable in VPD mode with the CONTROLLER AI+ via UIS™ (Universal Infinity System).
  • Up to 8 l per day under suitable conditions – considerably more reserve than the HYDRONE 5 for larger tents and high plant mass.
  • Drainage-ready: internal 2-liter tank or optional gravity drain hose for low-maintenance operation.

PWM-CONTROLLED ROTARY MOTOR

Why 10 Levels Instead of On/Off?

A compressor dehumidifier knows only two states: on or off. In a grow tent, this leads to constant ups and downs in humidity – and therefore in VPD. The HYDRONE 7 works differently: its PWM-controlled rotary motor can be regulated in 10 levels and responds instantly.

Compressor dehumidifierOn or off only – humidity and VPD constantly fluctuate up and down
HYDRONE 710 levels – dehumidifies not in bursts, but exactly as much as needed at the moment

The dry air is supplied directly into the tent via the exhaust port. With the CONTROLLER AI+, the HYDRONE 7 adjusts automatically in VPD mode. The result is a considerably more stable tent climate than is possible with a simple on/off device.

Heat Output and VPD

By design, the HYDRONE 7 produces somewhat more heat than a compressor unit; the dry air enters the tent correspondingly warm. In combination with the exhaust (for example CLOUDLINE), this is usually compensated without any problems during operation. A slight increase in temperature in the tent is also not necessarily a disadvantage: as temperature rises at the same humidity, the VPD value also rises, which is often desired in the flowering stage. Moderately raised tent temperatures are therefore usually not critical; toward the end of the flowering stage, however, the temperature should be lowered again. Temperature should always be monitored as well and regulated via the exhaust.

Smart Control

Integrated humidity and VPD controller with a precise corded sensor and smart AI programming that dynamically adjusts dehumidification output to keep the desired climate stable. The integrated UIS™ port supports connection to smart controllers such as the CONTROLLER AI+ and offers WiFi app access with advanced automations, AI-powered climate settings, data charts, alerts, grow guides and more. Automatic restoration of the last settings after a power failure ensures reliable operation.

Flexible Air Routing

Thanks to the dual 150mm duct ports, dry air can be directed into the grow tent via an exhaust duct. The optional intake port can be used to support a more efficient air loop within the setup.

Prepared for Drainage

The drainage-ready design features an internal 2-liter water reservoir and an optional gravity drain hose for clean, low-maintenance operation.

Recommended Combination: Room + Tent

With air exchange only – that is, when the exhaust (for example CLOUDLINE) draws fresh air from the room into the tent – the air in the tent is always somewhat more humid than in the room, because the plants constantly release moisture. To reach, for example, 50 % in the tent during flowering, the room would have to be dried to about 45 % or even lower – otherwise it cannot be achieved even with the exhaust at its highest level. The HYDRONE 7 reverses this relationship: it supplies dry air directly into the tent, so the humidity in the tent can be lower than in the room.

What matters is that the room in which the tent stands (surrounding room) does not permanently exceed 62 % humidity.

Relative humidity:

Room (surrounding room)max. 62 %

Ventilation or a compressor dehumidifier handles the volume of water.

Grow Tent50 % and below

The HYDRONE 7 provides the precision.

With smaller tents, the HYDRONE 7 can often manage this alone; with larger tents or high plant mass, there are two ways:

Ventilation: A room with sufficient air exchange – for example via a window that can be opened – removes the moisture from the tent exhaust on its own.

Compressor dehumidifier: In closed or poorly ventilated rooms, a conventional compressor dehumidifier keeps the room at a maximum of 62 %. It does not need to dehumidify heavily, only to handle the base load.

Thanks to its higher capacity, the HYDRONE 7 can also help dehumidify a smaller room, as long as it is not too large. However, it is designed for fine regulation in the tent: since it produces more heat than a compressor unit, a compressor dehumidifier is usually the better choice for dehumidifying the room alone.

In both cases, the HYDRONE 7 takes over fine regulation in the tent and can control it to 50 % or even lower. Each element works in its own range: ventilation or the compressor handles the volume of water, while the HYDRONE 7 provides the precision – and can play to exactly what sets it apart from a compressor unit.

Recommended for

  • Grow tents from 120 × 120 to 150 × 150 cm with high plant mass.
  • Smaller tents up to about 1 × 1 m, even in closed rooms – here the HYDRONE 7 can usually cover the room load alone, with limited reserve.
  • Stable humidity and VPD regulation directly in the tent, even down to 50 % and below.
  • Rooms in which humidity does not permanently rise above 62 % – either through sufficient ventilation or through a compressor dehumidifier that keeps the room at this level.
  • Controller-driven setups in VPD mode.

Not designed for

  • Closed rooms with larger tents or high plant mass without ventilation or additional dehumidification of the surrounding room.
  • Use as the sole room dehumidifier for large tents or multiple tents.
  • Setups in which consistently high volumes of water are to be removed by a single device.
HYDRONE 5

Smaller Tent? HYDRONE 5

For small to medium tents up to 1 × 1 m in ventilated or already dehumidified rooms, the HYDRONE 5 is the more compact alternative.

About the HYDRONE 5
Note on use in a single-loop or closed-loop system

In single-loop operation (simple air loop), dry air is supplied to the tent via the exhaust port, while the tent exhaust continues to be released into the surrounding room via an exhaust system such as CLOUDLINE. This increases the humidity in the room. For the HYDRONE 7 to maintain its target values in the tent permanently, the room should be ventilated or dehumidified.

In closed-loop operation (closed air loop) with connected intake and exhaust ducts, the air can be routed more precisely. Here too, temperature should still be actively regulated via a ventilation system; the notes on the moisture load of the room apply unchanged. If the HYDRONE 7 is operated via the CONTROLLER AI+, VPD mode is recommended for best results.
